About St James Episcopal Church
St. James Episcopal Church is a welcoming downtown congregation in Baton Rouge dedicated to serving Christ through worship, fellowship, education, and outreach to all. St. James offers three Sunday services with similar but distinct styles, ranging from traditional Rite I worship at 8 a.m. to contemporary Rite II services at 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., as well as weekday Holy Eucharist with healing prayer on Wednesdays at noon. The congregation values faith, authenticity, hospitality, compassion, and stewardship, and offers programs including the Rector's Tuesday Bible Study, Sunday Adult Forum, and Children's Sunday School to support spiritual development across all ages.
