About First Apostolic Church
The Apostolic Church of Lafayette is an Apostolic congregation rooted in the apostolic doctrine and practices described in Acts 2:42. Established in 1971 in a humble home on Lana Drive by Bro. and Sis. J.H. Broussard, the church has grown steadily through decades of faithful ministry under pastoral leadership. After surviving the 2016 flood and worshipping in a tent for six years, the congregation moved to Town Center in 2022 and dedicated a newly built sanctuary in August 2023. The church emphasizes genuine born-again experience through repentance, baptism in Jesus' name, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost, with services characterized by the anointed preaching of God's Word and the powerful movement of the Holy Spirit. Visitors are invited to experience the living presence of God and the fellowship of believers committed to apostolic faith and practice.
