About First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church in Natchitoches has served the community since its founding in 1910, originally established to support Presbyterian students at Northwestern State University. The congregation relocated to its current east Natchitoches location in 1962 and has continued to grow with the addition of an education wing and kitchen in 1997. With approximately thirty active members, the church maintains a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where all people are invited to worship regardless of background. The church demonstrates deep community commitment through its Lunch on Us program, which provides free sack lunches every Wednesday to anyone in need, and by opening its fellowship hall for local organizations and civic functions. Worship services are held Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m., with office hours available Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
