About Baptist Community Ministries
Baptist Community Ministries is a faith-based Christian organization founded in 1996 and now one of Louisiana's largest private foundations. Based in the Greater New Orleans area, BCM serves five parishes with a mission rooted in Baptist heritage and the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ. The organization works to improve the physical, mental, and spiritual health of individuals and communities through three main avenues: grants to nonprofits addressing health, education, and public safety needs; chaplaincy services deployed to healthcare centers and police districts; and congregational wellness ministries active in 194 churches throughout the region. Over 29 years, BCM has invested more than $265 million in community partners and continues to embody its core values of faithfulness, compassion, respect, sustainability, and transparency.
