About Journey Church
Journey Church in Pineville, Louisiana is a welcoming Christian community rooted in Baptist tradition but embracing a multi-denominational approach. Founded in 2006 as Lee Heights Baptist Church in Tioga with just 12 members, the congregation relocated to its current Donahue Ferry Road facility in Pineville in 2009 under the leadership of Pastor James Greer, adopting the name Journey Church to reflect the congregation's ongoing spiritual journey. The church exists to bring people far from God close to God one step at a time, emphasizing that visitors are welcome regardless of past circumstances, background, or socio-economic status. With a focus on practical preaching applied to everyday life, the church offers multiple Sunday services, robust children's and student ministries, and small groups designed to help members grow in faith and community without feeling isolated or judged.
