First-Time Visitor Info for St John The Evangelist Catholic Church
Dress Code: Catholic parishes typically observe modest, respectful attire for Mass, though dress standards vary from formal to casual depending on the individual and occasion. Service Format: Expect a traditional Roman Catholic Mass with liturgical structure, including readings from Scripture, the Eucharist, and congregational participation in prayers and hymns. Visitor Tips: Arrive a few minutes early to find a seat and review the bulletin or missalette; if you are not Catholic or have not received First Communion, you are welcome to attend Mass but typically do not receive the Eucharist—speak with a staff member if you have questions about participation.
