About Central Church
Central Church is a contemporary church in Zachary that began in May 2007. It was started by Pr. Donnie Shaffer and Sue Shaffer with a handful of friends, with the first gathering held in their home over a Sunday afternoon lunchtime meal. The church describes its focus as “Faith, Family and Friends.” After Pr. Donnie Shaffer died in April 2023 while traveling to Japan for missions, Pr. Mike Tossas and Debbie Tossas became pastors of Central Church in August 2023. The church continues with contemporary worship and an emphasis on faith, family relationships, and friendship within the congregation.
