About Church In Central
Central Church in Zachary began in May 2007 as Church in Central. It was founded by Pr. Donnie Shaffer after ten years of ministry in the Amazon Basin of Brazil; he died in April 2023 while traveling to Japan on missions. Pr. Mike Tossas moved to Central in August 2023 to serve as pastor. This Baptist congregation centers its life around “Faith, Family and Friends,” with Bible-based teaching, care for family life, and outreach to the community. Services include fresh, heartfelt worship and practical messages for everyday living.
