Toledo Bend Baptist Resort Ministry, established in 1972 on the east side of Toledo Bend Lake in Sabine Parish, serves as a mission outreach center supported by five Baptist associations comprising 126 churches and missions across District 8. Working in partnership with the North American Mission Board and the Louisiana Baptist Convention, the ministry conducts worship services in multiple parks throughout the Toledo Bend area, with expanded summer outreach reaching approximately 25 locations. The church focuses on bringing spiritual care to residents and visitors in parks, marinas, and low-income housing projects, creating opportunities for Saturday park visitation and early Sunday morning worship services. This resort ministry represents a unique approach to Baptist missions, extending the church's presence into communities that might otherwise lack consistent spiritual ministry.
