About St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church
St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Ellsworth, Maine, traces its roots to the post-World War II era when worship began in members' homes and a converted garage before the parish established itself on State Street in 1958. Rooted in the Anglican tradition, the church uses the 1979 Book of Common Prayer and emphasizes liturgical worship with congregational singing. Though the congregation has become smaller in recent years, St. Dunstan's remains committed to its mission to love, pray, and serve, maintaining an active lay leadership and offering multiple opportunities for members to participate in worship through various guilds and ministries. The church underwent substantial renovations in 2001 to ensure accessibility for all visitors. St. Dunstan's welcomes visitors to join their Sunday worship and community life.
