About Free Grace Presbyterian Church
Free Grace Presbyterian Church in Lewiston welcomes visitors of all backgrounds and levels of faith commitment, from the deeply devoted to the genuinely curious. Located at 160 Canal Street in the former Carroll's Music Store, the congregation gathers each Sunday at 9:30 am to encounter God through his Word. The church embraces the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Nicene Creed and Westminster Standards, believing in God's sovereignty, the transformative power of Christ's sacrifice, and the Holy Spirit's work in believers' lives today. Free Grace explicitly acknowledges that visitors may feel uncertain about what to expect, how to dress, or how to participate, and the community reassures newcomers that members themselves are imperfect and unpretentious. The church invites all to experience God's free grace in a welcoming environment where questions are encouraged and genuine faith exploration is valued.
