About Shiloh Christian Church
Shiloh Christian Church is an independent Christian congregation located in Sanford, Maine, with roots tracing back to 1978 when it began as a small fellowship in nearby Seabrook, New Hampshire. Founded by Pastor Matthew Lewis and his wife Elaine following their own spiritual conversion and call to ministry, the church became legally established in 1981 and acquired its current permanent home in Sanford in December 2018. The congregation is committed to the Great Commission—preaching and publishing the gospel so that men might be saved—and holds fast to the historic creeds and confessions of the Christian church throughout the ages, including the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and various Reformed confessions from the Protestant Reformation. Shiloh welcomes visitors to join them for Sunday School, morning worship, and evening services as part of their vibrant community of faith.
