About St. Casimir Church
St. Casimir Church is a Catholic parish in Baltimore with deep Polish Franciscan roots. The parish was canonically erected in 1902, became independent in 1904, and had begun as a mission of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish in Fells Point. In 1906 it was entrusted to the Polish-American Province of the Conventual Franciscan Friars. Its current neo-Renaissance church was dedicated in 1926 and has been carefully renewed through exterior and interior renovations, including repaired roofs, repointed masonry, gilded domes, restored bells, and attention to the historic worship space. The parish reports about 1,000 parishioners and offers children’s ministry.
