Zion Church of the City of Baltimore is a historic Lutheran congregation founded in 1755 and known as the mother church of Lutheranism for the Baltimore metro region. Worship is offered in both English and German, with a German service at 9:30 AM and an English service at 11:00 AM on Sundays. The church has maintained uninterrupted German services for more than 265 years. Located downtown between City Hall and the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, Zion is also a registered national historic landmark with deep roots in Baltimore’s religious history.
