About Christian Community-Greater
Christian Community-Greater in College Park, Maryland is part of a worldwide movement for religious renewal centered on the living presence of Christ through seven renewed sacraments. The community gathers at the Parish House at 4221 Metzerott Road to experience worship that integrates thoughtful, heartfelt devotion with the words and gestures of the celebrating priest. Services include the Consecration of the Human Being (communion service) held on Sunday mornings and Thursday mornings, as well as dedicated services for children in grades 1-8 that focus on the presence of God in nature and Christ as a teacher of human love. The community also offers confirmation classes for youth, youth group activities, and other rituals including baptisms and funerals. Led by Reverends Emma Heirman and Matthias Giles, with newly ordained Reverend Daniel Kalinov beginning his ministry in August 2025, the church welcomes all who seek the healing presence of Christ through communal worship and personal spiritual growth.
