About Jss Spiritual Mission
JSS Spiritual Mission is a non-denominational spiritual center located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, dedicated to cultivating inner harmony and serenity through spiritual practices rooted in Indian cultural traditions. Under the guidance of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji and affiliated with Sri Suttur Math, the mission serves the local community through pooja services, cultural education, and wellness programs. The center offers Sunday school, classical arts instruction including Bharatanatyam dance, Sanskrit and bhajan recitals, weekend yoga classes, and community service initiatives. Beyond its spiritual offerings, JSS Spiritual Mission fosters cultural preservation and community connection through food donation drives, organic farming programs, and celebrations of Indian festivals including Deepavali, Dhanurmaasa Pooja, and Maha Shivaratri.
