About Seneca Creek Community Church
Seneca Creek Community Church is a non-denominational congregation in Gaithersburg, Maryland, founded in 1989 by two seminary graduates with a vision to reach those far from faith. For over 30 years, the church has built a reputation for genuinely caring for and serving the local community, reflected in its opening of the Community Hope Center in 2020 to address food insecurity and essential needs. The church embraces worship in multiple styles and languages, with both women and men leading including from the pulpit, and offers thoughtful teaching that connects faith to everyday life. Seneca Creek serves children from nursery through high school with age-appropriate programming, and extends its ministry internationally through partnerships in Peru, the Dominican Republic, Kazakhstan, and Tanzania. The congregation invites people of all backgrounds—imperfect, curious, or unsure—to come as they are and belong in a space dedicated to spiritual growth and community transformation.
