About Church Of God
Church of God Lothian is a Jesus-centered congregation located in Southern Maryland near Wayson's Corner, founded by the late Elder Raymond C. Wills after his conversion through evangelist Solomon Lightfoot Michaux. The church has a rich history spanning decades of faithful ministry, including periods of leadership under the late Bishop George W. Hawkins, Sr., and currently under Pastor Derek Hawkins. The congregation emphasizes authentic worship, Bible-centered teaching, and active community service through numerous ministries including AWANA children's clubs, homeschool oversight through Lothian Church of God Academy, women's fellowship, and various serving opportunities. Visitors are welcomed to join the church community for Sunday morning worship at 11 AM, Wednesday evening Bible study at 8 AM, or midweek AWANA activities, with livestream options available for those unable to attend in person.
