About Mount Pleasant AME Church
Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church, located in Owings Mills, Maryland, is a historic African Methodist Episcopal congregation with deep roots in the community dating back to the eighteenth century. Originally known as Pleasant Hill A.M.E. Church, the congregation has maintained a strong commitment to faith, community service, and spiritual growth through its long and resilient history. The church is actively engaged in the local community through initiatives such as the Tollgate Road Cleanup and partnership with the Crush It Campaign for environmental awareness, as well as food and clothing assistance to neighbors. Mount Pleasant offers a welcoming environment with a vibrant worship experience, multiple choirs including a Senior Choir, Male Choir, Youth Choir, and Sunbeam Choir, and regular spiritual programming.
