About Christ Episcopal Church
Christ Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal congregation founded in 1739 as the core church of colonial Prince George's Parish, now located in downtown Rockville, Maryland. The church serves a vibrant and welcoming faith community of all ages and backgrounds, grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Anglican liturgical tradition. At the heart of their life together is Sunday worship at 10:00 a.m., featuring the beautiful traditions of the Book of Common Prayer with celebration of Holy Eucharist, sermons, and music from their Adult Choir. Christ Church is actively engaged in Christian education, community ministries, pastoral care, and work toward reconciliation and justice for all. Led by Rector Rev. Timothy P. Carr and Assistant Rector Fr. Angel Gabriel Roque, the church affirms its identity as a multi-generational family practicing Christ's unconditional love and welcomes all who seek Christ to participate in their ministries and receive Holy Communion.
