About Bethany Lutheran Church
Bethany Lutheran Church is a Missouri Synod congregation established in 1931 in Salisbury, Maryland, with approximately 150 communicant members. The church traces its roots to its first worship service on October 4, 1931, and was formally organized in February 1934. The congregation follows the teachings of Martin Luther and embraces the grace-centered theology expressed in Ephesians 2:8. Beyond worship, Bethany Lutheran engages its community through various ministries that serve all ages, including outreach programs providing food and clothing to those in need, mission trips to other regions, and invitations for community members to participate in church family events. The church building, dedicated on May 29, 1949, has been expanded over the decades with a fellowship hall added in 1986 and an education annex acquired in 2002.
