Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington, located in Silver Spring, Maryland, is the most comprehensive social services provider in the Washington metropolitan area. Since 1929, the organization has answered the call to serve those in need regardless of social, economic, or religious background, offering help that empowers and hope that lasts. Their eight areas of care include assistance for families and children, developmental disabilities services, food services, health care and mental health services, housing and shelter, immigrant and refugee services, job training and employment, and legal and empowerment services.
