About Christ Congregational Church
Christ Congregational Church is a United Church of Christ congregation in Silver Spring. CCC describes itself as open, affirming, and welcoming to all, and in 2006 adopted a covenant to become an anti-racist church. Worship is traditional and is offered in person and via Zoom on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. The church provides a full Church School program for children, with a nursery for younger children. Teens in 6th through 12th grades can take part in Cooperative Youth Ministry, and small groups are also part of the congregation’s life.

Founded in 1944
On September 24, 1944, 75 people met in the gymnasium of Montgomery Blair High School to begin a new church. In 1957, CCC became the first church in Montgomery County to become integrated.
