About Soteria Christian Center
Soteria Christian Center is a non-denominational, Spirit-filled church located in Waldorf, Maryland, committed to spreading the love, truth, and power of Jesus Christ. Founded through Pastor Eric Avery's vision after years of faithful ministry throughout the D.C. area, the church began as a weekly Bible study with a small group of believers and has grown into a vibrant community. Led by Pastor Eric and Co-Pastor Lisa Avery, a devoted couple with four daughters and three grandchildren, SCC emphasizes faith, spiritual growth, and victory in Christ. The church offers various ministries including Connect Groups designed for every stage of life and the Praying Ladies of Soteria, a powerful space for women's spiritual growth and empowerment. Soteria's vision of Connect—Commit—Conquer guides their mission to help people connect with God's Word, commit to spiritual growth, and conquer obstacles through faith in Jesus Christ.
