Calvary Baptist Church in Westminster, Maryland has served the Carroll County community for over thirty years, beginning in a home in the early 1980s before moving to its current location on Ridge Road in 2012. The church is committed to making Christlike disciples through the expositional preaching of Scripture, traditional hymn singing with orchestral accompaniment, and fervent prayer. Under the leadership of Senior Pastor Tim Leaman since 2000, Calvary offers Sunday morning services at 8:30 and 11:00 AM with verse-by-verse biblical teaching, Sunday School at 9:50 AM for all ages, and additional Sunday evening and Wednesday services. The church emphasizes Scripture as its authority, maintains fundamental Christian doctrine, and focuses on being God-centered, Christ-exalting, and disciple-making in its mission and identity.

Dress Code: The atmosphere in services is reverent with traditional hymns and conservative music. Service Format: Sunday services begin with congregational singing of traditional hymns followed by expositional sermons lasting about 40 minutes; childcare is provided for infants and toddlers up to three years old. Visitor Tips: Enter through the covered porch on the south side of the building; plenty of parking is available near the intersection of Routes 26 and 27, about three miles north of Taylorsville.
