About Calvary United Methodist Church
Calvary United Methodist Church is a congregation of The United Methodist Church in Arlington. The church describes itself as a loving, welcoming, and fully inclusive Christian community. Its roots go back to 1916, when it was originally named Calvary Methodist Episcopal Church. The current sanctuary, built in 1920 in the colonial revival style, was designed by J.H. McNaughton and W. J. Perry and later listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. In 1994, Calvary Church and Arlington Heights Church merged, and the combined congregation took the name Calvary Church, United Methodist.
