The Old North Church, built in 1723, is a historic Episcopal church in Boston, Massachusetts. It is best known for its role in the American Revolution, when on the night of April 18, 1775, two lanterns were hung in the steeple to signal the arrival of the British by sea, launching Paul Revere's famous ride.
