About Massachusetts Buddhist Association
Massachusetts Buddhist Association, located in Lexington, is a lay Buddhist community dedicated to exploring Buddhist teachings and practice. Formally established in 1987 as the普賢佛學社 and later renamed the Massachusetts Buddhist Association in 1989, the organization moved to its current Lexington location in 1990. Since 2016, the association has been affiliated with Dharma Drum Mountain, a Buddhist organization founded on principles of spiritual environmental protection and Chan Buddhist practice. The community offers various meditation and study programs including Zen sitting meditation, Buddha recitation practice, chanting, and introductory meditation courses, welcoming all who seek to transcend suffering and cultivate spiritual development.
