About Armenian Memorial Church
Armenian Memorial Church in Watertown, Massachusetts is a Congregational congregation with deep roots tracing back to 1897, when seven Armenian men who had escaped persecution found refuge and community in the Boston area. Guided by American missionaries they had known in their homeland, these families gathered for Bible study and prayer, eventually incorporating as a church body in 1915 to honor their heritage and remember loved ones lost during the Armenian genocide. The church welcomes all who seek worship that is relevant, friendly, and spiritually nourishing, offering Sunday worship at 10:30 AM along with educational ministries for children, youth, and adults. Grounded in prayer and unconditional love, the Armenian Memorial Church remains committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and fostering a strong faith-based community for multiple generations.
