About Gideon's International
The Gideons International in Alpena is an evangelical association dedicated to equipping and mobilizing Christian business and professional men, along with their wives, to share God's Word and win others for Jesus Christ worldwide. Founded in 1899, the organization has distributed over 2.6 billion copies of Scripture across more than 190 countries and territories since its inception. The Gideons' mission centers on strengthening one another through fellowship and mutual accountability, spreading the Gospel message in daily interactions, and strategically placing Bibles in hotels, hospitals, shelters, and other places where people seek hope. Members experience spiritual growth as they engage in the life-changing power of the Gospel, both in the lives they touch and in their own faith journeys.
