About Zion Lutheran Church
Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church has served the Chesaning area since 1873 with a Bible-centered message focused on the gospel of Jesus Christ. The church teaches the core Lutheran principles of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, and in Scripture alone. Pastor Paul Tessmer leads the congregation in proclaiming these truths and serving the community with Christ's love. The church offers worship services on Sunday mornings at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. from September through May, with additional Sunday morning and Monday evening services during summer months. Sunday School and Bible Class meet at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings during the fall and spring. The congregation welcomes visitors to join them in worship and to learn more about Jesus Christ and his saving work.
