Basilica of Sainte Anne de Détroit is a historic Catholic parish in Detroit, founded in 1701 and identified as the second-oldest continuously operating parish in the United States. Its present church was built in 1886, and the parish was named a minor basilica on March 1, 2020. The basilica is also the official Shrine to Ste. Anne in the Archdiocese of Detroit, giving it a particular place in local Catholic devotion. Fr. Gabriel Richard, an important figure in Detroit’s Catholic history, is buried there.
