About Free Methodist Church
The Crossing Free Methodist Church in Durand, Michigan is a welcoming community that gathers weekly to worship and deepen their relationship with God. Rooted in the Methodist tradition and focused on the power of the Holy Spirit, the church describes itself as a safe place for people from all walks of life who love Jesus and seek authentic fellowship. Led by Pastor Lisa Lahring, an ordained Elder appointed to serve the Durand congregation since 2013, the church emphasizes spiritual growth and community service. Beyond Sunday worship, the congregation participates in monthly potlucks and members are actively involved in community ministries, including leadership in local food pantry efforts that have served the area for decades.
