About Christian Center
The Christian Center in Anderson, Indiana has served the hungry, hurting, and homeless for over 70 years. Founded in 1955 by Lloyd and Dorothy Lambert, the ministry offers comprehensive support including shelter, meals, case management, addiction recovery, and chapel services to individuals and families throughout Madison County. The organization serves over 150,000 meals annually through its Community Dining Room, operates The Well—the county's only women and children's shelter—and provides additional support through the Eleos Center and the Men's Recovery Program. Rooted in Christian faith and guided by core beliefs about human dignity and transformation through Christ, The Christian Center welcomes all in need regardless of their circumstances.
