About Sacred Heart Parish
Sacred Heart Parish is a Catholic parish in Hudson with roots in the community dating to 1859. The parish was organized on October 23, 1859, as “The Church of the Sacred Heart Society,” and Fr. Francis Joseph Van Erp was assigned that year as its first resident pastor. Its earliest services were held in an old barn converted into a temporary church. Today, Sacred Heart’s parish life includes weekend and weekday Masses, Religious Education from October through April, and OCIA for those preparing to become fully initiated members of the Catholic Church. Parish ministries include Adult Choir, Altar Rosary Society, Knights of Columbus, and a prayer chain.
