About Sisters Of Saint Joseph
Sisters of Saint Joseph in Kalamazoo is a Catholic religious community of vowed women and lay associates dedicated to bringing all into unity with God, one another, and creation. Rooted in a charism dating back to 1650 in France, the community ministers through prayer, direct service, and advocacy for systemic change. They operate diverse ministries including three Catholic high schools, tutoring and literacy programs, spirituality centers, and social service initiatives. The Sisters stand with the poor and vulnerable while championing justice causes including anti-racism efforts, environmental stewardship through the Laudato Si' platform, LGBTQ+ support, and immigration advocacy. Their Mission Network extends both locally and globally, partnering with others to serve their neighbors and transform the world into God's vision of one sacred community.
