About United Church Of Ovid
United Church of Ovid is a federated congregation connected with both the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church. The church was created in 1942 when two congregations joined together, with roots in a Methodist congregation begun in 1860 and a Congregational Church begun in 1871. Its history includes the move to the Grace Church building on Front Street in 1972 and a large 1989 addition remembered as the “Miracle on Front Street.” Worship is traditional, with Sunday worship at 10:00 AM. Children’s ministry includes Vacation Bible School for ages 3 through those entering 6th grade.
