About Diocese Of Saginaw
The Catholic Diocese of Saginaw serves 100,000 Catholics across 56 parishes in 11 counties of mid-Michigan, including Arenac, Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Huron, Isabella, Midland, Saginaw, Sanilac, and Tuscola. Established in 1938 by Pope Pius XI, the diocese is rooted in the Roman Catholic tradition and the Eucharist, guiding the faithful as companions on a spiritual journey to share the love of Jesus Christ. The diocese actively engages in social justice initiatives, supports community works locally and internationally, and prepares young people to be faith-filled members of their communities. Under the leadership of Bishop Robert Gruss, the diocese continues to strengthen parish life, as exemplified by recent celebrations such as St. John Paul II Parish's church rededication and the ordination of new priests. Visitors and those seeking spiritual community are warmly invited to connect with any of the parishes throughout the diocese.
