About First Free Methodist Church
First Free Methodist Church of Saginaw is a faith community rooted in the Wesleyan tradition, located in the heart of Saginaw Township at the corner of Center and Weiss roads. Led by Pastor Rev. Jason Evans, the church emphasizes holiness of heart and life, welcoming all who walk through its doors with a commitment to loving God and loving people. The congregation gathers for worship that includes liturgy, hymn singing, prayer, and Scripture reading, guided by core beliefs in God's Word, salvation through Christ, and the Church as God's people fulfilling His purposes. The Free Methodist denomination traces its origins to 1860 and champions freedom for all people, including full participation of women in ministry and the movement of the Holy Spirit in worship. Saginaw First Free Methodist serves its surrounding neighborhoods as a kingdom-focused community dedicated to building compassion, justice, and discipleship in Christ.
