About Christ The King Lutheran Church
Christ The King is an LCMS Lutheran church in Southgate, Michigan, serving the community since 1951 with two campuses on Trenton Road and Pennsylvania Road. The church's mission centers on connecting people to the Life, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ through worship, Bible study, and diverse ministries including a school, childcare center, food pantry, and numerous community groups. Led by Senior Pastor Jay Cashmer and Associate Pastor PJ Brooks, Christ The King offers traditional services at 5pm Saturday and 9am Sunday, as well as a contemporary service at 11am Sunday, each followed by Bible study opportunities. Service Format: Weekend services feature varied music styles; the 5pm Saturday and 9am Sunday services are traditional with organ, piano, choir, brass, and handbells, while the 11am Sunday service is contemporary with a praise band. All services include the same sermon and order of worship, a children's sermon, and access to Holy Communion. Visitor Tips: Visitor parking is available in the north lot across from the main entrance at the Trenton Road campus (near the MJR Movie Theatre). Upon arrival, check in at the Welcome Desk marked 'New Here? Start Here', where you'll receive a welcome packet and kid's activity bags if needed. Pastors greet visitors at the sanctuary doors following each service, and completing a Connection Card will result in a welcome email and gift.
