What to Expect as a First-Time Visitor to St. Matthias Catholic Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan

Service Format: The Mass schedule at St. Matthias includes Saturday at 4:30 pm and Sunday at 8:30 am, 11:00 am, and 9:45 am (Spanish). The service typically lasts about an hour.

Here's what you can expect during the service: - Hymns and prayers led by the congregation and choir - Readings from the Bible - A homily (sermon) by the priest - The celebration of the Eucharist (Communion)

Communion is open to all baptized Catholics who are properly prepared. If you do not wish to receive, you can remain seated or come forward for a blessing.
