Central Woodward Christian Church is a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) located in Troy, Michigan, with roots extending back to 1928. The church describes itself as welcoming, thoughtful, compassionate, progressive, and nurturing, committed to Christian unity, freedom of conscience, and the priesthood of all believers. In 2016, the congregation voted to become Open and Affirming, explicitly welcoming people of all races, ages, genders, sexual orientations, gender identities, nationalities, abilities, family configurations, and theological perspectives. Led by Rev. Zach Martin since September 2023, Central Woodward serves its neighbors in the Troy area through worship and ministry, inviting all who seek to follow Jesus to participate in the full life and service of the church.
