About Mt Zion Center
Mt Zion Center is a non-denominational church located in the Waterford, Michigan area that has been serving the Southeast Michigan community for over 40 years. Founded in 1978 by Pastor Loren Covarrubias, who felt called to ministry as a young adult, the church has grown from a small Bible study in a home basement to a multi-site ministry operating from three local venues with a heart for both community outreach and international missions. Mt Zion maintains a vision to help families experience the best life God has in store, with ministries that extend to a church plant in El Salvador and ministry relationships in Cuba. The church offers multiple service times throughout the week, including Sunday services in English and Spanish, specialized services for young adults, and programs for children and youth. Beyond Sunday worship, Mt Zion provides life enrichment classes, grief support fellowships, youth events, and community outreach through its Christian associations.
