About Our Lady Of The Scapular Parish
Our Lady of the Scapular Parish is a Catholic community in Wyandotte, Michigan, with deep Polish heritage reaching back to 1870, when Polish immigrants first organized to preserve their faith and cultural traditions. The parish traces its roots to the St. Stanislaus Kostka Society and has grown through the reunion of three historic Polish parishes—Our Lady of Mount Carmel, St. Stanislaus Kostka, and St. Helena—into a single unified community. Today, the parish serves its members through a bilingual Sunday Mass in English and Polish at 10 a.m., daily Mass at various locations throughout the week, and a robust spiritual life centered on devotion to Our Lady of the Scapular. The parish maintains an active adoration chapel open daily from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., offers religious education programs, and welcomes the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) for those exploring the Catholic faith.
