About Cedar United Methodist Church
Cedar United Methodist Church has served the Andover and Ham Lake area since its founding in 1899, with roots tracing back to 1892 when Methodist classes first gathered in homes and schools near Cedar Creek. The congregation merged into an organized church following the arrival of the railroad in 1899 and constructed its first building in Cedar before relocating to its current site in Ham Lake in 1986. Led by Pastor Jen Anderson and a dedicated team including musicians and volunteers, Cedar welcomes worshippers to gather each Sunday morning for worship followed by coffee fellowship. The church embraces the Methodist tradition of generous giving as spiritual practice and offers multiple ways to participate, including in-person worship and live streaming via Zoom for those unable to attend in person. All past sermons are available for those wishing to engage with the church's teaching ministry.
