Wabanica Lutheran Church, organized in 1904 and named after Chippewa tribal Chief Wabanaquib, stands as a historic cornerstone of the Baudette community in Minnesota. The current building, dedicated in 1958 at 1765 26th Ave NW, has undergone several improvements over the decades, with major updates completed in 2003. As part of the Baudette Lutheran Parish and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Wabanica shares in the parish's commitment to faith-centered ministry and community service. The congregation hosts a monthly free-will offering pizza night on the last Wednesday of each month from April through September, with proceeds supporting local organizations like the LOW School Backpack Program, the Humane Society, and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
