About Lutheran Social Service
Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is a faith-based organization with a 160-year history of serving individuals and families across the state through personalized support services. Located in Bemidji and operating throughout Minnesota, LSS provides comprehensive programs including behavioral health services, camps and retreats, financial assistance, housing support, services for older adults, refugee services, and youth programs. The organization operates the Center for Changing Lives in Minneapolis, a community gathering space that hosts art exhibits addressing social issues, offers an affordable café staffed by program participants, and provides volunteer opportunities. With a mission to promote full and abundant lives through compassionate, personalized care, Lutheran Social Service welcomes community members to connect with their work, support their initiatives, and participate in their vision of empowering possibility.
