About Prince of Peace Lutheran Church
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville, Minnesota welcomes visitors of all backgrounds and beliefs, grounded in a mission to love God and love people. Founded in 1963 when Burnsville was mostly cornfields, the church has a rich history of adapting to changing times while keeping the Gospel central, even beginning with outdoor worship at a drive-in theater. Today, the congregation offers contemporary worship services on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings, along with a classic Sunday service, creating space for diverse worship preferences. The church is deeply committed to community transformation through its Mission Outpost, which provides clothing, food, dental care, and other resources to people in need, and maintains a fully affirming theology that emphasizes God's relentless love and welcomes questions, doubts, and diverse perspectives. Multiple fellowship and ministry opportunities exist for all ages, from preschoolers to seniors, and the church actively collaborates with schools, local government, and community organizations to provide hope and wholeness throughout the south metro area.
