About Holy Cross Church
Holy Cross Church is a Roman Catholic parish serving Northeast Minneapolis and is part of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Founded by Polish Catholics in 1886, the parish has a long connection to the Polish Catholic community; its articles of incorporation were signed on August 21 of that year. The cornerstone of the present church was laid on July 4, 1927, and the church was dedicated by Archbishop Dowling on September 16, 1928. Holy Cross continues to reflect that heritage through its 11:30 AM Sunday Mass, which the parish describes as the only Polish-language Sunday Mass in the Archdiocese.
