About Advent Lutheran Church Augustana Synod
Advent Lutheran Church is a faithful congregation of the Augustana Synod, located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, with roots tracing back to its founding on September 13, 1953. The church describes itself as a lighthouse where God's Word is proclaimed and revered, and a sanctuary where people can find Christ's love and grace. Following the heritage of the Augustana Synod, which dates to the United Scandinavian Conference of 1857, the congregation emphasizes preaching, teaching, counseling, visitation, Christian education, and youth ministry. Pastor Matthew Basich, ordained in 1986 and a Roseville native, leads the congregation in worship and service. The church welcomes visitors to join the community for Sunday services and various programs throughout the week.
